HSC Physics Accelerated Summer Holiday Program

This Holiday Accelerated Program is held over 6 days during the school holidays over 2 weeks. This course is suitable for Year 12 HSC students who want to study a full Core Topic before the commencement of Term 1.



Lesson 1

9.3.1 - Motors use the effect of forces on current-carrying conductors in magnetic fields.


Lesson 2

9.3.2 - The relative motion between a conductor and magnetic field is used to generate an electrical voltage.


Lesson 3

9.3.3 - Generators are used to provide large scale power production.


Lesson 4

9.3.4 - Transformers allow generated voltage to be either increased or decreased before it is used.


Lesson 5

9.3.5 - Motors are used in industries and the home usually to convert electrical energy into more useful forms of energy.

Lesson 6

Revision Quiz

Students will achieve:

  • A comprehensive understanding of Physics concepts based on syllabus dot points and outcomes of the HSC course.

  • The ability to explain complex theories and models through logical description and diagrams.

  • Problem solving skills to prepare them for assessments and examinations.

  • An overall confidence in their ability to tackle the topic at school ahead of time.
