High School Mathematics / Extension 1 / Extension 2 Teacher

 

Seeking High School Mathematics Teachers (undergraduate students studying Education and New Graduate Teachers may also apply)

 

ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are looking to hire several motivated High School Mathematics teachers to train and nurture our Preliminary and HSC students. No need to travel to student's house, one location only and endless hours of work for those with the right skill set and acumen. No need to handle student's parents, this is all done for you.

Wisdom Education is a growing Primary and High School tutoring business aimed at bringing the best out of students. Conveniently based in Lidcombe we are 1 minute walk from Lidcombe train station. We are a growing tutoring business that specialises in preparing students for OC, selective schools test, private school scholarship and HSC. We are after people that are driven / academic and great communicators.

You will be teaching Preliminary and HSC level:

  • Mathematics

  • Extension 1

  • Extension 2

​

What you'll be doing:

  • Guiding Year 11 and Year 12 students through the NSW Mathematics curriculum.

  • Working on some afternoon / nights (from 4:30 pm) during the week or Saturday afternoons depending on the classes offered. This can vary depending on your timetable (however you'll need to be flexible around business's needs)

  • You must be able to commit to taking the lessons for the duration of the term.

Mathematics is one of those subjects that some students love and others claim to hate. A great mathematics teacher can be the difference between a student loving maths and a student wishing they could skip their mathematics class!

 

Great mathematics teachers make their classrooms a place that students want to be. They have the ability to communicate complex mathematical concepts at a level that every student can grasp. They give students who struggle with mathematics the confidence to grow and develop their mathematical abilities. They regularly breathe new life into the subject by staying up-to-date with the best practices in mathematics education. Students of great mathematics teachers understand how useful and important mathematics is in everyday life.

To be considered for this role, you must be:

  • bright and Bubbly - fantastic communicator, you must be articulate and be able to engage kids by explaining difficult concepts simply. 

  • must be fluent in English.

  • sound - must be mature, responsible and presentable

  • punctual and professional.

  • demostrate excellent classroom management skills.
