Physics Preliminary (Year 11) and HSC (Year 12) Tutoring

This course will build upon this fundamental knowledge to increase students’ conceptual understanding of energy, force and motion involving the living and non-living world.

Physics Preliminary aims to provide a learning experience through which students will:

• attain knowledge & understanding about fundamental concepts related to natural phenomena & the historical development of these concepts and how they are applied to personal, social, economic, technological and environmental situations.

• develop understanding of models and concepts and the explanation of physics terms; collection and organisation of information to problem-solving; and use of simple communication skills.

• develop positive attitudes towards the study of physics recognizing the importance to critical evaluation of scientific theories and opinions.
